“GDS Forum” showcases the tourism of the future in the city of Valencia

Categories: urban festival.

Find out what the tourism sector has in store at "GDS Forum" thanks to GDS-Movement, CityDNA and Visit Valencia

The future is drawing closer and closer, as anyone can tell by just looking around them.

Remember when there was no talk of AI or blockchain?

These are tools that, like many others, have come along and changed the status quo of tourism, a key sector for the Valencian Community.

"GDS Forum" offers an event where you can learn about new tourism trends, the digitization of the sector, and how climate change is impacting the most visited areas of our region. All of it separated into five large blocks from October 2 to 4:

Uniting sectors to have an impact - An event in Spanish for Spanish organizations only, scheduled for October 2 at the CaixaForum building. It seeks to bridge the gap between tourism activity, events and their social impact through various talks, debates and networking between leading travel professionals of all kinds.

Systemic challenges and opportunities - The goal for the morning of Tuesday, October 3, is to delve into the challenges facing tourist destinations and urban events, in the symbolic venue of the Parador de El Saler.

Basic elements for success - On October 3 in the afternoon, also at the Parador de El Saler, we will try to shine a light on the transformation that has to take place in tourism and events to make them more resilient and regenerative through case studies.

Inspiring innovation and collaboration - Co-creating by different industry players is essential to growth. Exchanging ideas, researching and defining how to scale impacts will be the core topics for the morning of October 4 at the Primus Valencia Hotel.

GDS Awards - And to top it all off, four GDS-Index grand prizes will be awarded to recognize the efforts of destinations and changemakers. The winners of the Leadership Award, Most Improved Award, Innovation Award and the GDS and #MEET4IMPACT Impact on Movement Award will be announced on the afternoon of October 4 at the Oceanogràfic in Valencia.

And if you're in the mood for more, you can enjoy the “Fall Conference CityDNA: Positive Destination” from October 5 to 7.
