‘Farinelli or Sublime Taste’, baroque arias in the historic centre of Valencia

On Saturday 23^rd September, at 9:00 p.m., the Cloister of the Real Colegio de las Escuelas Pías of Valencia will be the magical stage for the concert ‘Farinelli or Sublime Taste’. A musical proposal by the Ars Magna collective, in its line of classical concerts in charming surroundings.

The concert programme pays tribute to Carlo Maria Michelangelo Nicola Brosch, known as Farinelli, one of the most outstanding ‘castrati’ in musical history. The magnificent countertenor Konstantine Derri will perform a beautiful repertoire of arias and baroque pieces based on the figure of Farinelli. Accompanied by Julio Imbert on the violin, Carlos Montesinos on the cello and Francesc Gamón on the harpsichord, Derri will transport the audience to the refined and effective atmosphere of the Baroque.

The choice of the cloister of the Real Colegio de las Escuelas Pías of Valencia as the stage for this concert highlights the originality of Ars Magna’s proposal. Enjoying this musical experience in the open air in such a special place will add a unique charm to the evening.
