If you are a tennis lover, you are in luck.

The city of València is hosting the BBVA 2022 Valencia International Open from 4 to 12 June, and it comes with new features: this year it has taken a big leap in quality, as the tournament is joining the WTA (Women's Tennis Association) circuit for the first time in its history.

With the Sporting Club de Tenis as the venue, top-level tennis players such as Paula Badosa, Garbiñe Muguruza and Sara Sorribes are candidates to take part in this great event which, despite its growth, has decided not to drop the other complementary activities that gave it its own identity.

For this reason, both the U16 Tournament and other solidarity initiatives continue to be played in tandem at the 2022 Valencia International Open, to provide a space in which to offer visibility to up-and-coming players.

This year, the tournament is also a pioneer in fully balancing its carbon footprint, thus becoming part of València's initiative to achieve climate neutrality by 2030.

The WTA's visit to Valencia will be the last stage of the season, so you can't miss it. Tickets will be available soon on the official website of the 2022 Valencia International Open.
