The museum houses over 400 art pieces related to the Virgin, the Basilica, and its Archconfraternity, ranging from the Renaissance to the present day.
The exhibition includes a careful selection of works by great masters such as Antonio Palomino, Ignacio Vergara, Vicente Requena, Gaspar de la Huerta, Manuel Martín Lavernia, Mariano Benlliure, Salvador Tuset, Josep Renau, and Ramón Stolz. It also features a rich collection of various media: panel and canvas paintings, sculpture, engraving, ceramics, textiles, goldsmithing, and founding documents.
Access to MUMA is via Plaza de la Almoina, by stairs or elevator, to the first floor of the Basilica. There, visitors can see the exhibition, the Chapel’s interior, the dome painted by Palomino, and the image of the Patroness. From the balconies, enjoy views of Plaza de la Virgen, the Generalitat building, and the Cathedral, and access the 17th-century archway connecting with the Valencian Seu.
