Un Avvertimento ai Gelosi is the title of the first production of the season to be presented by the Centre de Perfeccionament at the Palau de les Arts. This opera will be performed at the Martín y Soler Theatre, 12th, 18th and 20th November.
The work is based on the libretto by Italian Giuseppe Maria Foppa, which was set to music in 1831 by Seville tenor Manuel García. This delightful farsa giocosa is a ‘warning to the jealous’, an opera written for voices and piano.
Un Avvertimento ai Gelosi is a production of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, co-produced with the Oviedo Opera Festival. Maestro Rubén Fernández will provide the piano accompaniment and serve as musical director for this opera, while Bárbara Lluch takes the stage.
