October 9th Festival: Day of the Valencian Community

Celebrate the big day of the Valencian Community. A day where history, gunpowder, and the tradition of the Mocadorà come together to commemorate the entry of James I and the pride of our identity.

Sant Donís: Valentine's Day in Valencia

The festival coincides with Sant Donís, considered the day of lovers in Valencia. Following a 18th-century tradition, the ritual consists of gifting the Mocadorà: a silk scarf wrapping delicate marzipan figures that represent the fruits and vegetables of the Valencian orchard. The Piula and the Tronador are also present, recalling the old prohibited firecrackers. It is a sweet and handcrafted tribute that fills the windows of every pastry shop in the city.
