Opera and classical music

The musical project of San Nicolás will count on the collaboration of national and international musicians such as Christopher Bouwman or Monica Melcova

Get ready because from 19 May to 16 June the 1st International Organ Festival will be held in the Parish Museum of San Nicolás under the name ‘Cuando los ángeles silban’ (‘When the Angels Whistle’).

No more and no less than five concerts will be held between the months of May and June, the first date being Friday 19 May; the programme will be repeated every Friday until 16 June.

On this occasion, the San Nicolás musical project has brought together top national and international musicians such as Christopher Bouwman and Monica Melcova.

The temple’s musical director and principal organist, Atsuko Takano, has designed a programme of Spanish and European works with a repertoire that promotes Baroque, Renaissance and Romantic music.

The works that will be played during the five recitals of the neo-Baroque organ have been chosen to please the general public, selecting works by Haendel, Bach, Cabanilles, Mendelssohn and Vivaldi.

If you want to live an experience for your senses, this is the perfect occasion to enjoy the beauty of this repertoire in an exceptional acoustic and setting.

You can book your ticket now. And listen up! The proceeds will go entirely to the Obra Social de San Nicolás.
