A private non-profit foundation founded in 2002 whose mission is to train entrepreneurs and executives in knowledge, skills and values such as leadership, entrepreneurial spirit and a culture of effort in a unique business ecosystem by the Mediterranean Sea: Marina de Empresas. It is an initiative of Juan Roig, president of Mercadona and honorary trustee of EDEM, which supports the full entrepreneurial cycle by combining EDEM (training), Lanzadera (acceleration) and Angels (investment) in one complex. EDEM has a pre-university area with courses for young people between 16 and 18 years of age; a university center with undergraduate and postgraduate programs; and, finally, an area for Executive Education and Senior Management. In the university center, EDEM offers a business degree for entrepreneurs and a Degree in Engineering and Business Management, both taught 50% in English and with company internships all four years.
