Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana, as stated in its Universal Accessibility Plan, is constantly adapting its facilities to accessibility requirements.

Removal of architectural barriers

 

  • Access to platforms

All the stations and stops in the network have adapted routes with ramps and lifts, with the exception of València Sud station.

 

  • Remote controls as a technical aid for the use of Metrovalencia's lifts

This equipment is a technical assistance device for disabled people, especially for people with reduced mobility and upper limb problems.

Metrovalencia will provide information on the facilities where it can be used, and there may be occasional cases where the equipment is not in use.

  • Platform access to the train or tram

FGV is carrying out platform construction work in metro stations to facilitate access for People with Reduced Mobility (PRM) between the platform and the train. Tram stops do not require this action.

All the validation lines have a special width passage (90 cm.). These passages have the possibility of frontal validation at the following stations:

Note on wheelchairs, electrics and scooters

For the purposes of the regulations (RD 1544/2007, of 23 November and its published amendment of 20 September 2019), a wheelchair is understood to be a support product for the mobility of people included in the object and scope of the following regulations:

a) Manually powered wheelchairs. According to standard UNE-EN 12183.

b) Electrically powered wheelchairs and scooters with three or more wheels. In accordance with the UNE-EN 12184 standard, and which can be included in Classes A and B, or in Class C provided that they comply with the dimensions and manoeuvring area established for Class B. The maximum length and width dimensions are, respectively, 1300 by 700 millimetres. 

  • Communication devices for the hearing impaired

The following stations have a magnetic loop on the platforms:

  • Alboraya – Palmaret 
  • Alboraya – Peris Aragó
  • Benimàmet
  • Les Carolines – Fira

The Client areas in Colón and Xàtiva also have a magnetic loop.
