Horchata Day in Alboraia

Alboraia, known as the Horchata Capital, is gearing up to celebrate its 42nd Horchata Day on July 9th with a program packed with exciting and sustainable activities. If you're visiting Valencia this summer, you can't miss this unique experience that combines tradition, sustainability, and fun.

The event includes a series of activities ranging from tastings and contests to tours and workshops, all organized by the Alboraia Artisans of Horchata Product Club. You'll get to discover the artisanal production process of horchata and enjoy unforgettable experiences.

Program

• Distribution of horchata and fartons. Starting from 12:00 pm.

Free and massive distribution of horchata and fartons by the Alboraia Artisans of Horchata Product Club offered by the Alboraia City Council for all audiences until supplies last!

• Orxatast. Starting from 12:00 am. 

The Orxatast backpacks from the Alboraia Artisans of Horchata Product Club will offer free tastings of horchata and fartons at the fairground during the discomovil performance. Come dance because the Horchata is on us!

• Orxata Experience

Want to know how horchata is produced? What processes happen from the harvesting of chufa until it reaches your glass? Alboraia City Council offers participants the magnificent experiences of tourism companies around the best horchata in the world at no cost.

1. Orxata Tour at Món Orxata.

2 groups of 30 people. July 9th, at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.

2. Orxata Workshop at Alqueria Maria Llistar Planta i Cull.

2 groups of 30 people. July 9th at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Meeting point: Alqueria Maria Llistar Planta i Cull, Partida de Saboya, Alboraia.

3. Chufa Route by Valencia Original Tours.

2 groups of 30 people. July 9th at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Meeting point: Alboraia-Palmaret Metro Station (Exterior), Av. de la Orxata s/n, Alboraia.
