Gran Fondo Valencia: the cycling challenge of the year

If you love feeling the asphalt rushing beneath your wheels, the wind in your face and pushing your legs to the limit, start prepping your bike.

On 2 May 2026, the Gran Fondo Valencia is back, with the start and finish lines in La Marina. This event is made by and for cycling enthusiasts, with two routes full of breathtaking scenery.

There are two distances to choose from, so you can decide how far you want to go.

One of them is 177 km long with an elevation gain of 2,033 metres and the other is 148 km long with a cumulative climb of 1,474 metres, two demanding options that make this event a true cycling experience.

This isn’t just about clocking up the miles, though; it’s also about riding through spectacular stretches of Valencia, such as the mountain passes of Canteras, L’Oronet, Alto Segart and Chirivilla.

They are all well-known names on the cycling scene, and have even featured in the Vuelta a España on occasion.

And that’s not all because you won’t leave empty-handed. When you register, you will get an official maillot for you to ride in style.
