New date for the 2026 Valencia Kite Festival

On Sunday the 3rd, kites of all colors and shapes fill the sky over Cabanyal Beach.
The Valencia Kite Festival returns to Cabanyal Beach, celebrating its 25th edition on Sunday, May 3rd.
Weather permitting, the event will take place in front of the seafront promenade, in an impressive 15,000 m² flying area. This space will be filled with colours dancing to the rhythm of the wind with kites of all kinds, including multi-component, static, acrobatic, giant and 3D kites.
What to expect from the Kite Festival 2026
Get ready to enjoy a whole day of free activities for the little ones, including craft workshops, kite flying and kite control, as well as exhibitions and demonstrations that promise to entertain throughout the day.

11:30 to 12:30 a.m. – Children’s kite-making workshop
1:00 to 2:00 p.m. – Children’s kite-making workshop
2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Lunch break and free activities
4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. – Children’s kite-making workshop
6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. – Children’s kite-making workshop
7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Closing ceremony and trophy presentation

Whether you’re an expert flying through the wind or just starting out, this festival gives you the chance to share the joy of sending colours and shapes up into the sky.
