DESCRIPCIÓN

The Cervellon Palace played an important role in the history of the city during the time that royalty stayed here when the Royal Palace was demolished. Fernando VII signed the Constitution here in 1812, as did María Cristina her abdication. Isabel II also lodged here, and it has been the centre of many important events. A refurbishment executed in the nineteenth century gave it its actual Neo-classical main façade, while the back part of the palace has kept its Baroque character. A modernist restoration undertaken by the architect Manuel Peris Ferrando in 1905 was carried out in the partially porticoed courtyard.
