The Casa Vestuario
Plaza de la Virgen, 1; 46001 - Valencia
TOURISTIC AREA: Historical center
The Casa Vestuario, opposite to the Door of the Apostles of the Cathedral, concluded in 1800, was designed by the architect José García. It was originally conceived to serve as a meeting place for the Magistrates of the Tribunal de las Aguas before they took part in the celebrations in the Cathedral.
The main façade is in the sober and elegant Neo-classical style: the ground floor incorporates chiselled stone, and large doors which transmit the same stylistic character from the inside. The first floor includes a balcony oriented towards the other façade which gives cohesion to the building. Finally, the last floor is composed of smaller windows that, as with the rest of the building, include plain chiselled stone.
