The Ensems Festival goes all in on auditory stimuli and active listening

The Ensems Festival is back for its 45th edition with a musical program dedicated to unusual music and sound experimentation. It will be held between September 15 and 24 in different venues and auditoriums in Valencia, Castelló and Alicante.

With the slogan #acaudorella (whisper into one's ear), Ensems will offer 25 activities in different formats, including musical performances, professional meetings and educational activities, in an effort to take the pulse of contemporary sound creation.

With more than 30 premieres and works being performed for the first time in Valencia, Ensems continues to rely on offering a program that features newly-created music that combines performances from outstanding international acts with national and local artists, always with the intention of disseminating the latest trends on contemporary sound creation.

The collaboration with the Palau de les Arts will once again allow Ensems to open with a performance by a chamber opera of the European ENOA (European Network Opera Academies) of ‘Woman at point zero’, by LOD / Laila Soliman, Bushra El-Turk and Stacy Hardy, which will open the festival on September 15 at the Teatre Martín i Soler of the Palau de les Arts.

The activities of the 45th edition of Ensems will take place in Valencia's usual venues: Palau de les Arts, IVAM, Conservatorio Superior de Música and the Centre Cultural La Beneficència.

The already traditional symphonic Ensems will once again feature the main symphonic groups of our territory.

Thanks to this, the program will include concerts by the Municipal Symphony Band of Valencia and the Municipal Band of Castelló de la Plana, as well as the Valencia Orchestra, directed by José Luis Estellés, and the ADDA Symphony Orchestra, with Charles-Olivieri Munroe as guest conductor.

All the shows are free, with a downloaded invitation, except the ‘Woman at point zero’ opera on Friday, September 15, and the concert of the Valencia Orchestra with Nacho de Paz on Saturday, September 23, tickets for which will go on sale soon on the festival website.
