Valencia is preparing to celebrate World Tourism Day on 27 September with a variety of proposals, each of which is more enticing. Celebrate it with us!

2x1 for guided tours

The best way to get to know Valencia on your first day in town? A guided tour! You have several to choose from, with a special 2x1 offer for you and your companion on the following tours from 21 to 27 September:

  • Valencian Shopping Route, Wednesday 23rd September: Discover the best local products during a stroll through the shops in Calle de La Paz and the Central Market. Start at 12:00 from the Tourist Office in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Adults 18€ - Children (up to 8 years) 11th Spanish and English.
     
  • Grail Route, Friday 25 September: Get to know the main religious corners of the city, including the Chapel with the Holy Chalice. Departure at 10:00 from the Tourist Office in calle de La Paz. Adults 20€ - Children (6 - 12 years old) 13€. Spanish and English.
     
  • Cabanyal in the cool afternoon hours, Friday 25 September: explore this charming fishing quarter in the cool of the afternoon. Start at 18:00 from Calle Barraca, 105,12€ (price per person) (Spanish only).
     
  • Silk Road, Saturday 26 September. Discover the heritage of the silk industry in Valencia. Start at 11:00 from the Tourist Office in Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Adults 20€ - Children (6 - 12 years) 13€. Spanish and English.
     
  • Art Nouveau and El Cabanyal Route, Saturday 26 September: Get inspired by the city´s architectural. Start at 10.30 from Eugenia Viñes, 22-24. 12€ (price per person). Spanish and English.
     
  • Grape Harvest with Ambiatours, Saturday 26 September: If you are a lover of good wine, don't miss the opportunity to take part in the grape harvest and treading the grapes at the Vera de Estenas Winery. You can also visit the winery and of course taste its wines. The tour starts at 09:00 a.m. at Xativa Street 3 and lasts the whole day. 88€. Spanish and English.

Bookings can be made directly at the Tourist Offices until the afternoon before the visits. 

Guided visits to Bombas Gens

You can also visit the exhibitions, the medieval wine cellar and the garden of Bombas Gens free of charge and without prior booking from 25 to 27 September from 17.00 to 21.00.

Paella week

Take advantage of Valencia's celebrations of World Paella Day to try the special menus of rice dishes that more than 50 restaurants have prepared for the Paella Week, from 17 to 27 September only!

Free guided tours of L'Albufera Natural Park

You can also sign up for the guided tours of L'Albufera Nature Park (in Spanish only), organised by the Town Council on the occasion of World Tourism Day. They will take place on 25, 26 and 27 September and begin at 10.45 am in the El Palmar car park. From there, a guide will accompany the groups to the pier for an approximately 45-minute tour of the lagoon. During the trip the guide will explain the history of the Albufera and show the natural heritage of this park, which is unique in Europe. After the boat trip you will visit a Barraca, a traditional Valencian farmhouse, to learn more about life in the Albufera in the past. The visit does not include a transfer to L'Albufera, but remember that the bus lines 24 and 25, which are included in the Valencia Tourist Card, will take you there. From 21 to 27 September, take advantage of the 15% discount on the Valencia Tourist Card.

How to book

You can book your visit to L'Albufera by sending an e-mail to clientes@viajesglobus.com, indicating the date you wish to participate, the number of people (maximum 2) and the names, surnames and identity cards of the people who will be taking part in the activity. E-mails not containing this information will be rejected. Availability will be confirmed in the strict order in which the e-mails are received. There is a maximum of 20 places per visit and day.
