Commemorate World Heritage Day by visiting the tower of La Lonja

City Hall offers free guided tours of this historic gem of Valencia

In 1996, the Silk Exchange, also known as the Merchants' Market, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. To this day, it is still the only monument in the Valencian Community that boasts this distinction.

As a result, to celebrate International World Heritage Day, city hall has organized guided tours of the tower of this iconic building.

And so, on November 16, 23 and 30 and December 7, the public will have the chance to tour this part of the Lonja, which is not always open to visitors.

The tour will last approximately 30 minutes. The sessions in Valencian and Spanish are at 10:30 a.m. and at 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. If you prefer to do the activity in English, choose the 11:30 a.m. time slot.

Are you up for visiting this jewel of Valencian architecture?

It's very easy.

Just call 96 208 4153 to sign up. Reservations are free, but capacity is limited, so don't dilly-dally ;)
