Touristic zone:

So how do you celebrate World Paella Day? Well, try a few. The most traditional, the senyoret, with red prawns, with fish from Lonja... are just some of the 13 recipes that will be cooked live at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de València on the 20th of September.

Starting at 10:00 am, leading rice masters and chefs will prepare recipes from all over the Valencian Community to offer 1,300 delicious free tastings.

The Paella Round Table

The Rialto Theatre will host, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., a round-table discussion that takes the title of the play by Juan Montañés (Xipell), 'El Concili de l'Arròs', based on a proposal debated in Les Corts in 1987. The aim is to encourage debate and reflection on paella as a cultural as well as an identity element and the value of its preserving and promoting.

Prepare your own paella then share it

If you feel like making your paella on the day or any other, then share it with the rest of the world using the hashtag #Worldpaelladay. It would be great to be a trending topic! Here's the recipe for Valencian paella, but you already know that on this day, you can go your own way.
