40th edition of the Cinema Jove festival in Valencia

Do you enjoy cinema as much in front of the screen as behind it?   

Well, there’s good news for you because “Cinema Jove”, one of the most important international festivals on the audiovisual scene, is coming up.  

From 19 to 28 June 2025, you enjoy the 40th edition at different venues around the city, including the Teatro Rialto, the CCCC, Filmoteca, Teatro Principal, Espai Turia and Colegio Mayor Rector Peset, among many others—featuring film proposals from emerging national and international filmmakers.

Cinema Jove’s programme is packed

The festival kicks off on 19 June at 6.30 p.m. at Teatro Principal with the Opening Gala, which will include the screening of Riviera and will wrap up at the same venue on 28 June at 7:00 p.m. with the Closing Gala and Awards Ceremony.

This edition will feature film screenings, talks and web series covering a wide variety of topics. There will also be appearances by top podcasts such as Sin criterio and Albóndigas con Santi Alverú, screenings of films like Blade Runner and Tóxico and an extensive lineup of short films and feature films.

And, of course, there will also be meetings such as Curt Creixent, a space where you can present your own project and enjoy a range of workshops, talks and masterclasses to help you develop it even further.

As if that wasn’t enough, the organisation has prepared several special series such as Órbites, A Cinematic Future, IKEA: First Times and The Young Ridley Scott.
