The Valencia metro system is one of the most accessible in Europe
and 94% of the stations meeting accessibility standards.
The new Bailén Intermodal station (which, along with Parque Central
station, will be the terminal for RENFE and the AVE high-speed trains)
is especially designed for visually impaired
people - the walkways have textured tiles and are colour coded to
indicate directions. In addition, the undersides of the handrails
will carry information in Braille on the different facilities available
in the station. In the future these services will be incorporated
into the whole rail network.
