Aprender Español en Valencia

With 440 million native speakers, Spanish is the second-most widely spoken language in the world, and is in increasing demand in professional environments. Given the city’s favourable climate and quality of life, it’s no wonder that Valencia receives great numbers of students every year, ready to learn the language in an unbeatable setting. Valencia has a wide range of public and private academies available.

Most centres provide certificates on completion of their courses. However, in order to obtain an official and an internationally recognised qualification, students must pass a series of exams to receive a DELE diploma (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language), awarded by the Instituto Cervantes. For this reason, there are also preparation courses available for these exams.

The University of Valencia offers its own Spanish language courses for foreigners which are held in spring, summer and autumn. The Official School of Languages is another of the public institutions offering Spanish courses for non-natives (Levels A2 to C1), as well as certification tests equivalent to CEFR levels (Common European Framework of Reference).
