DESCRIPCIÓN

The gardens of the Glorieta were the first gardens to be created in the inner part of the city. The construction started in 1817 and was completed in 1844. They always were, and continue to be one of the best kept gardens in the city. Composed mainly of native flora, they contain particularly impressive magnolia trees. An eighteenth century fountain by Ponzanelli representing a Triton; and two statues, one dedicated to the painter Muñoz Degrain (1915) and the second to the paediatrician Ramón Gómez Ferrer (1920) are the most outstanding monuments to be found in the park.
