DESCRIPCIÓN

The current Serranos Bridge was built between 1518 and 1550 by master builder Juan Bautista Corbera, after several floods swept away the previous footbridges. Restored in 2012 and closed to traffic, this gothic style footbridge is raised over nine arches. This architectural work was built to connect the old area outside the city walls with one of the city gates, the imposing Serranos Towers gate, which the bridge is named after.
