Calling all gourmands, all lovers of the style and flair of Valencian dining! If you are the type of traveller who plans an itinerary around breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper, Valencia Restaurant Week is the perfect week for you to visit Valencia.
The 9th edition of Cuina Oberta, as it is known locally, takes place from 8th-17th November. It now runs for longer than a week, to cram as much as possible in, with more than 50 Valencia restaurants taking part.
The philosophy of Cuina Oberta – an event styled on the famous restaurant weeks of New York or London – is simple: to inform the national and international visitors and residents of Valencia of its magnificent cuisine by putting on great dishes and menus to suit a variety of budgets. (Lunches for 20€ and dinners for 30€, and Michelin star lunches for 35€ and dinners for €45). Seasonality is key, with the autumnal warmth of this part of Spain bringing a variety of flavours and combinations to inspire your taste buds.
Gastronomy is one of Valencia’s main attractions and this event is one more reason to try eating out in Valencia this November. As the birthplace of globally popular dish paella and home to highly acclaimed chefs and venues – including some honoured with a Michelin star – the city features high on the list of places to eat your way around.
How do you book a table? Simple. Soon the list of participating restaurants will be posted on the Cuina Oberta website – you will find many of the best restaurants in Valencia on the list. Each will state a deadline for reservations and you can sign up to get all the latest event news first.
