Quintana-Logo-12As the brainchild of Josep Quintana – one of Spain’s most renowned chefs who trained under iconic Catalan cuisinier Josep Maria Freixa – Quintana Culinaria was always going to be somewhere special. Many people already know Quintana as the Head Chef and co-owner of Torrijos – one of Valencia’s most famous and best-loved eateries. So it’s fair to say that the chef had a lot to live up to with the opening of his new location. Thankfully, it really is worth the hype.

A haven for foodies, Quintana is a one-stop-shop for all your creative food desires. Offering a new concept of dining, Quintana boasts an assortment of ways to enjoy and discover food, with a stunning restaurant and separate bar area, as well as a shop in which visitors can buy original produce.

The elegant, stylish and neutral décor includes polished grey flooring and open wooden interiors. Quirky details and colour pops come in the form of the exposed kitchen, funky wall art, bar stools and ceiling detail, which co-exists harmoniously with an open, friendly and natural atmosphere.

Dishes are made using top quality products, many of which are locally sourced. The extensive creative menu includes such delights as Lychee Sorbet Ceviche with Avocado and Salmon Roe among the starters and Nougat Semifreddo and Chestnut Currant Sorbet for dessert. The separate truffles menu boasts produce that has been freshly picked from across the region while the speciality rice dish changes daily.

Josep Quintana prides himself on offering a traditional kitchen with cooking that comes from the heart. This passion is evident in the beautifully presented dishes that look (almost) too good to eat and offer a real taste sensation.
