A taste of Ernest Hemingway in Valencia

Cuisine, History and Culture Comments (0)

Did you know that Ernest Hemingway chose to settle in Valencia for a period of time?

His home was located in the city centre, which placed the writer, a dedicated follower of bull fights, conveniently close by the bullring.

Another favourite spot was the beach, where he often enjoyed meals at La Pepica, the legendary restaurant (founded in 1898) which still pays tribute with a large photograph of him looking over the room.

Today you can sample a paella or the “Senyoret” rice and fish dish there. It’s almost mandatory.
