One of Spain’s top chefs, Quique Dacosta, owner of the internationally renowned two star Michelin ‘Quique Dacosta Restaurante’ in Denia, Costa Blanca has opened another restaurant in Valencia this month. The restaurant is called El Poblet – which was the original name of his first restaurant in Denia when it opened in 1981. It is located on the top of floor of Vuelve Carolina – a gastro bar also owned by Dacosta – in Calle Correos in the historic centre and will incorporate some of the traditional dishes that he offered in Denia when he first opened the original El Poblet restaurant. For more information visit El Poblet restaurant website. The restaurant scene in Valencia has really taken off in recent years, and along with the traditional tapas bars and restaurants serving local cuisine, the city now boasts six Michelin star restaurants. Food lovers looking to sample some of the city’s best should visit during restaurant week from 9-18 November when chefs at participating restaurants across the city will prepare special menus for diners. Priced at just €20 for lunch and €30 for dinner – it’s a great opportunity to taste some of the city’s top culinary delights.
