Serranos Towers

Torres de Serranos. Serranos Towers. So named because
they faced the “sierras”, or re-populated outlying mountain
areas, in the 14th century. Characterized by two polygonal
towers, modelled on the 13th-century towers of the
French city of Carcassonne, with adaptations based on the
Cistercian monastery of Poblet (Tarragona).
